Weekend Outfit: Chautauqua Sun

These photos were taken in the stunning Chautauqua Park in Boulder. After living here for several years, the Flatirons (those gorgeous mountains behind me) have a special place in my heart, and they are just beautiful in the fall. While I wasn't dressed for a hike on this particular day, it's a fantastic spot to go hiking. Even if you have a general aversion to walking uphill like I do, the amazing scenery is definitely worth it.

Fall's Gold

It was a gorgeous fall Sunday yesterday in Denver--bright and sunny, but cool enough to bask in the sunshine without getting too hot. It was the perfect day to sit outside waiting for brunch at Lucile's with a dear friend from college and her husband, who were visiting for the weekend (happy anniversary, guys!).

My family and I tried to squeeze one last lake day out of this season, and boy was it a windy one! I was happy I came prepared for chilly weather with my blazer and scarf. Forunately, the rain held off until we had closed up the boathouse for the winter. Although I'm sad to hang up my waterskis for the season, snow skiing season is right around the corner!
