Hot Hot Pink

Sweater: F21 (old) | Vest: F21 (mine is faux, but you can find a real version here)
Pants: Vintage | Sunglasses: Karen Walker Perfect Day | Boots: Michael (similar here and here) | Bag: Cambridge Satchel Co. | Necklace: DIY | Bracelets: Tiffany, Swarovski, F21, Vintage | Watch: Fossil (similar here)

On a whim, I decided a flash sale warranted picking up this Cambridge Satchel Co. fluorescent pink cross-body bag. As I expected, the quality is excellent, and the color packs a serious punch.

In looking at my wardrobe, though, I'm not totally sure about this bag's possibilities, and its practicality leaves quite a bit to be desired (buckling and unbuckling the two leather straps in front seems like a logistical nightmare when trying to run errands or answer a ringing cell phone). That said, I am in love with how it transforms a neutral outfit like this one from ho-hum to head-turning.

What do you all think--keep this bag or return it for something more versatile and practical?

  2. The bag is so pretty, but I think you should return it for something more practical. I actually bought a cambridge satchel co. bag in a neutral color but returned the bag because of the buckles - definitely not conducive to running errands!

  4. keep - i have this in the gray glitter and cheat by only half buckling one of the straps when i'm out and about and need access to the bag.

  6. I say keep! It will transition well into next Spring! Until then, it's great for styling neutral Winter outfits. I do agree that the buckles are a bit cumbersome, but I think it's worth the trouble. Maybe keep it for nights out, when you don't need to be practical! Love the boots and vest too, very Rachel Zoe :)

    1. The more I look at these photos, the more I think it'll be a fun piece to have in the rotation this winter. I like your suggestion of using it primarily for nights out--I'm not usually trying to get stuff in and out of my purse all night.

  15. Although pink is not my color, I think you should keep it. It's fun to have one of those items in the closet. I do that once in a while. You look great!

  19. Oh wow. You're supposed to put your cell phone IN the bag? Who knew? ;)

Keep it! It's amazing, eye catching and different from the boring crowds of neutrality that litter the streets.

  20. I know you're petite, but the proportions of the outfit somehow make you look tall. I'm also petite and haven't been able to wear tall boots successfully. You look great.
