Boyfriend Jeans, Part II (an ASOS Review)

Jeans: ASOS c/o (in petite and regular sizing) | Blouse: Anthropologie | Sunglasses: Valentino | Shoes: Zara | Bag: Reed Krakoff | Necklace: Urban Outfitters | Bracelets: David Yurman, J.Crew (similar here) | Watch: Michael Kors

A couple months ago, I decided I was sticking to skinny jeans after trying a pair of petite boyfriend jeans. When ASOS asked me to do a review recently, I decided I would give boyfriend jeans another shot and ordered a different style.

The Brady Slim Boyfriend Jeans are a slimmer, more streamlined style that preserves the boyfriend look without too much added bulk. The fit is relaxed through the thigh and knee, getting slimmer from knee to hem. They come in a variety of washes, from indigo to bleach, and are available in both petite and regular sizing, and the regular size comes in three different inseam lengths. I found that they run true-to-size for ASOS, and a Petite 00 was just right on me--I like how "relaxed" through the thigh and knee didn't mean they were gaping at the waist or too roomy in the hips.

Personally, I think this pair will fit into my wardrobe well. The darker wash pairs nicely with the more classic pieces in my closet, and the fit is exactly what I wanted from a boyfriend jean--relaxed, but still feminine and flattering. I think I'm a convert this time around!

  1. Oh goodness, how adorable is this outfit? I love the soft lace with the boyfriend jeans with the bright pumps!

  2. These definitely work on you! I'm petite also (although not quite as small as you!) and I had the same problem with boyfriend jeans. I ended up with a pair of "slim slouch" from NY & Co. that are similar to these. Love these shoes too BTW!

  3. As usual, head to toe perfection. Boyfriend jeans look great on you! I love the mix of classic and feminine with a bit of edge and masculine. Probably my favorite look. You look amazing, and kudos to you for giving something a try after you thought you were done with it.

  4. You know I have never tried slouchy or boyfriend jeans before. With my body-shape (curvy)I doubt they'd flatter my figure. However you are rocking this look. I especially love the pairing of a ladylike heels like this from Zara!

  5. love the jeans - they look fab on you!

  6. I love how they look with the red shoes!

  7. Thanks for the review! I adore Asos but never tried their jeans - this helps!

  8. I'm very interested in getting this jeans after seeing your picture. Would you mind letting me know your waist and hip measurement so I can roughly estimate what size to get. I'm 5' usually wear size 24/25 in Topshop jeans. Thanks so much and hope to hear from you soon!

    1. Hi Tania! My waist is about 23", and my hip measurement is about 31.5-32". I'm 4'11". I usually wear a 23 in premium denim (or 24 if they run small).

You would probably be best off with a Petite 1, I'm thinking. The waist on these is surprisingly snug (which I like--then I don't have to worry about wearing a belt or pulling them up). Hope this helps!

  9. First of all, I thought you looked adorable last time, but this look is just FAB. You look like a rockstar with those red shoes!

  10. These boyfriend jeans fit you perfectly Tam! I love the more feminine shirt with your relaxed pants.
