Dress layered for winter

It was nice to take a break from work this weekend and catch up with the blog a little. January has been pretty brutal at work after the holiday lull, so there hasn't been much time to wear anything but suits all day and flannel pajamas when I finally get home at night. I'm excited to have a few posts to share with you this week, though!

One of my favorite purchases this winter has been my plain black turtleneck. It's comfy, cozy, flattering, and perfect for layering to make more summery dresses winter-friendly. The Anthropologie dress I'm wearing here is pretty lightweight, but adding tights and a sweater underneath makes it a three- or four-season piece. I could also see wearing it to work like this if I worked in a more casual environment.

Hope you had a great weekend, too!

  1. Beautiful dress, and I love how you winterized it!

  2. Love the mixed dots! Cute combo! Also, we REALLY need an Anthro in the Springs! Among other things...

  3. Ohhh, it looks so absolutely adorable from the head to the toes! How to resist it!?

  4. How adorable do you look in this dress and my favourite is the dot dot tight! I went through a pretty crazy turtle neck period too. I was constantly searching for them since I am always cold! This winter my neck has developed a bit of a rash so I can no longer bear to have fabric around my neck but I do miss wearing them though!

  5. Pretty look! Loving the dress on you! I was trying on some clothes the other day and tried layering a cheetah print blouse with a wrap dress, and added a chunky pearl necklace for good measure and was like "omg, this is so Tam!".

    1. This comment totally made my day! Thank you!

  6. Love the Jimmy Choo clutch! It looks darling with the dress :)
