In these photos, I'm wearing another petite-friendly Zara find: a dark green pique dress. Although it's conservatively cut and in a work-appropriate hue, the forest green adds more interest than would the traditional black or gray. The dress appears to run a little small, so a regular XS fit me snugly. If you're planning to order it and are between sizes, I'd suggest going up a size.
In addition to adding a little color, I also decided to eschew traditional black pumps for these platform pumps with a lace overlay. Because of the hidden platform, I can get a little extra height without the strain on my feet, and keeping the color palette neutral ensures my kicks aren't too wild for the office. If I needed to make this outfit more business-formal-appropriate, I would wear some subtly-patterened black stockings and pumps and limit myself to a couple inobtrusive, tasteful pieces of jewelry.
What do you think, readers? Have you worn or would you wear something like this to your office?

Loves it Tam! I adore that white/gold bubble necklace, and it looks great with the rest of the ensemble. I agree with you on the Zara sizing comment. I too had to go up a full size on my recent Zara purchases. Damn those skinny Europeans!
