3 Ways to Wear Leopard Pants

I bought these leopard-print pants at the end of summer last year, thinking that, while they were cute, I didn't see myself getting a ton of wear out of them. Lo and behold, they've suprised me and made it to the blog several times (and to a handful of un-blogged outfits), so I thought I'd compile a few of them here.

Hope you have a great weekend! I am probably going to try to shop a few of the amazing designer sales going on right now--you can't miss the fantastic markdowns at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, Barney's, Bloomie's, and Shopbop. At the moment, I have my sights set on this gorgeous Reed Krakoff bag and this fit-for-a-princess pair of classic pumps, but there's so much more to sort through!

I broke out these leopard-print pants from last fall for a dinner date al fresco a couple nights ago. It was so nice to be out in the evening, watching the sunset in a light blouse and no jacket!

Work Outfit: No-Fuss Neutrals + a Poshmark Review

Blouse: J.Crew (on sale!) (last seen here) | Skirt: H&M (similar here) | Belt: Ann Taylor | Sunglasses: Valentino | Shoes: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: Reed Krakoff (available at Bergdorf's and Neiman Marcus | Necklaces: Brian Gavin, Theresa Mink | Bracelets: Tiffany, Swarovski | Watch: Fossil

Happy Friday! I wanted to share another work outfit with you--this blouse has been so versatile that it's been getting a lot of wear for both work and play (see it styled more casually here). While I love incorporating color into my work wardrobe (like this past Monday's cobalt blue), neutrals are my office mainstay. Not long ago, I began hunting for a new pair of work-appropriate neutral pumps to give my much-loved Ann Taylor pair a break.

Around the same time, I decided to join Poshmark, an iPhone/iPad (free) app and shopping site where you can easily sell and buy other ladies' clothes and accessories. I have been thinking about joining for a while, but I was feeling a little hesitant. Once I started browsing through other users' closets, though, I realized a lot of them were very similar to me, and it was a great forum to sell some of the not-quite-right online purchases and items I've worn only once or twice. I was browsing shoes in my size when I came across the pair of perfectly neutral Stuart Weitzman heels I'm wearing here. They were authentic, brand-new, and a third of the retail price, and they were an instant hit. I've been really impressed with the app, and when I ended up selling something the other day, the shipping and payment pieces were super-easy. If you're already on Poshmark, come say hello--I'd love to see your closet!

Romp

Romper: F21 (old, similar here and here) | Cardigan: Express | Belt: Vintage | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: Vince Camuto | Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim (currently available at Barney's and Otte) (read my review) (more colors at Shopbop) | Necklace: Theresa Mink | Bracelets: Boutique, Vintage | Rings: Vintage | Watch: Michael Kors | Toes: Essie "Mint Candy Apple"

After waiting and waiting for spring to actually, well . . . spring in Colorado, temperatures have suddenly soared to the upper eighties in the last couple days. It was so warm that I decided to pull out this romper--one of my summer staples--for an evening wandering the art gallery neighborhood in Denver and sampling beer at one of the great microbreweries in town. I decided to go with heavier black-and-gold accessories to toughen up the romper's feminine floral print.

Work Outfit: Cobalt & Polka Dots

Cardigan: J.Crew (similar here) | Dress: Ann Taylor | Belt: Ann Taylor | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: Nine West (similar here) | Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim (currently available at Barney's and Otte) (read my review) (more colors at Shopbop) | Necklace: Ann Taylor | Watch: Michael Kors

This outfit is a good representation of what I've been up to lately: work, work, and more work! The next couple months are going to be very busy for me, so I will be doing my best to keep up with regular posts, but it might be a little sporadic.

Fortunately, I was able to take a break this weekend and spend some quality time with my amazing mom--I'm so lucky to have her! Readers, what did you do to celebrate this Mother's Day?

Basic Chic

frye melissa boots review

Jacket: ZARA (similar from this season) (last seen here) | Top: Urban Outfitters (similar here) | Jeans: 7FAM | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Boots: Frye "Melissa Button" (my review here) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (similar here) | Earrings: Bought in Turkey (similar here) | Lips: Stila "Fiery"

I took my pup to the park yesterday for a romp through the grass before today's crazy snowstorm blew in. Despite the fact that I've lived in Colorado most of my life, I always find it hard to believe that it can be sunny and 70 degrees one day and 34 and snowing the next!

After loving my last pair of Frye boots (so flattering, comfy, and cute!), I decided to do something I generally try not to do: pick up another pair in a different color. When I saw that this distressed black pair of Melissa Buttons was on sale at Zappos, I decided to grab them. Note for fellow small-footed ladies: Zappos has Fryes down to size 5.5, whereas most retailers seem to carry only down to size 6. I like the vintage leather finish on these a lot--it seems like it will only get better with wear, and with the awesome craftsmanship and comfy-right-out-of-the-box fit, I know they will get tons of use. And apparently, I won't have to wait for fall to start wearing them since Denver can't seem to decide whether it's winter, spring, or summer right now.

Hope that your May Day is much, much warmer and drier than mine!
