Morning Radiance with St. Ives

St Ives Oatmeal Hello Framboise

Those of you who know me in real life know I am not a morning person at all. Rising and shining is definitely a daily struggle for me! Most days, I have to be out the door at a totally uncivilized hour, so I rely heavily on my morning routine to make sure I look and feel radiant.

Enter St. Ives and OatMeals--they sent along this lovely care package that made my mornings brighter this week. It contained two servings of OatMeals' special St. Ives Radiance Boost Bowl oatmeal in cute individual mason jars along with the new St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Body Scrub and Nourish and Soothe Oatmeal and Shea Butter Lotion, which gently soothes skin, restoring its natural radiance. I love that the lotion is made with 100% natural moisturizers, including shea butter and glycerin.

Morning Care Package St Ives

Here's a peek at what my mornings usually look like:
  • First things first: a long, hot shower to wake me up. I like using an exfoliant like the Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Body Scrub every other day to keep my skin soft and glowing.
  • As soon as I'm out of the shower, I put lotion on while my skin is still damp to lock in the moisture. The Nourish and Soothe Oatmeal and Shea Butter Lotion smells great and keeps my skin from becoming dehydrated in our dry Colorado air.
  • I wrap my hair with an absorbent towel, put on my cozy robe, and eat breakfast while I read my favorite news sites and blogs.
  • Next I dry and style my hair, clip it back, then put on sunscreen and makeup.
  • My last step is to put on the outfit I've laid out the night before (accessories and perfume included), pick up my already-packed bag, and rush out the door.

St Ives Oatmeal Body Scrub & Shea Lotion

Breakfast is such an important part of starting my day. I'm often on my feet in court all morning, and there's no way I'd make it until lunchtime without a healthy and nutritious meal before work. Oatmeal has nutrients that are known to give the body energy and boost overall health, like whole grain and soluble fiber.

St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter

You can find more info on the St. Ives products I'm using here on their website. Both the body scrub and lotion are available at Target, and are a great value at $4.99 each.

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into my morning routine! Have a wonderful weekend!

A Vaseline x BaubleBar Holiday

The holidays are the time of year to sparkle and shine at parties, galas, and get-togethers. Unfortunately, this all happens when the weather does its best to make skin and lips looks dull, dry, and flaky. Luckily, Vaseline and BaubleBar are coming to the rescue this holiday season with a special collaboration to help your lips and your makeup bag look polished and put-together.

Holiday Vaseline Lip Therapy x Bauble Bar

Vaseline partnered with BaubleBar for the holidays to create a limited-edition and co-designed bejeweled jar with their classic Lip Therapy Original. I love how fun and fancy this jar is and how the European crystals take an everyday item and make it shine--of course, I'd expect no less from the sparkle mavens at BaubleBar! My jar arrived in a pretty, padded gold box that would just need a bow to make it ready for gifting.

Vaseline x Bauble Bar Lip Therapy

Every winter, I struggle with the cold, dry Colorado air wreaking havoc on my lips. To combat chapped lips, I like to use a an easy, at-home, gentle lip scrub that leaves my lips smooth and moisturized.

I use a pinch of sugar on my finger and blend it with a touch of Vaseline Lip Therapy for an easy and effective scrub. Vaseline Lip Therapy Original is made with 100% pure, triple-purified Vaseline Jelly to lock in moisture for beautiful, healthy lips, and using my scrub at night and in the morning before applying lipstick or stain makes my smooth, velvety color stay on all day long.

Hello Framboise for Vaseline x Bauble Bar
This sparkly stocking-stuffer can be found exclusively at BaubleBar.com.

Hope you enjoyed this touch of holiday sparkle! Tell me what you like to do to keep yourself looking your best during the holidays in the comments below!

Fall Mornings with St. Ives (and Tips to Soothe Your Winter Skin)

St Ives Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar Soy Live Radiantly

The weather in Colorado is finally beginning to feel like fall. Cooler temperatures here mean lots of cold, dry air, and my sensitive skin gets red and chapped quickly if I don't moisturize religiously. With the advent of fall and pear season, St. Ives has introduced their new Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy products. Last week, I received the pretty package below from St. Ives skincare with a request to test out a couple items from the line.

Over the last week, I've incorporated the body wash and lotion into my morning routine along with my favorite fluffy robe and daily soy latte. The pear scent smells just like the real fruit (not too sweet or overwhelming) and is perfect for the autumn season. The Pear Nectar & Soy line is formulated with pear extract, soy, and other natural hydrating ingredients, and it's gentle on sensitive skin. My skin will often react to harsher formulas, but I've had no issues with any of these products while testing them, and the natural moisturizers have kept my skin hydrated and soft all day long after using both products in the morning.

St Ives Mailer

If you're looking to give this product a try, the body wash is available online and in stores, and it looks like the lotion will be available soon. The size of these bottles is such a great value--I can see mine potentially through the whole upcoming winter, which is no small feat. I thought I'd also include some tips here for my fellow sensitive-skinned ladies who might be reading.

  • Don't slack on moisturizing. Slather some lotion on every day, twice a day, especially after you've just gotten out of the shower.
  • Use a gentle exfoliator to get rid of flaky skin (gentle being the operative word there!). I've been using this St. Ives scrub for years, and it does the trick nicely.
  • Use a hydrating body wash like the one I'm reviewing today to make sure your soap isn't stripping you of your natural moisture and making your skin feel tight and dry.
  • Invest in a humidifier and try to remember to run it every night. I had a bad attack of eczema last year, and the humidifier made my nights so much better.

Do you have any tips for keeping your skin in great shape during the winter? What's your favorite way to stay hydrated? Let me know in the comments below!

Exercise and Meditation with YOGASMOGA

Lake meditation with YogaSmoga

Tree Pose with YogaSmoga

Petite workout clothing with Yogasmoga
Tank and Shorts thanks to YOGASMOGA | Earrings: Nadri

As I mentioned in my post a little while ago about my tips for reducing stress and anxiety, I like to make sure exercise and meditation are part of my routine. For exercise, I like running, yoga, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts. As a former gymnast, gymnastics conditioning workouts (I find them on YouTube) feel familiar and fun for me, and it's amazing how little time it has taken to become much stronger with HIIT added to my exercise regimen.

I use the Headspace app on my iPhone for easy-to-follow guided meditation, but after using it for a while, I've found I've improved my ability to meditate on my own. It's still hard for me to do for longer periods of time, so I keep my meditations short and set a timer. I focus on checking in with and relaxing each part of my body, counting my breaths, and being aware of the environment around me.

To motivate myself to continue to engage in these two stress-busting habits, I like to make sure I'm outfitted with cute, well-fitting, comfortable, and functional workout clothing. A little while ago, YOGASMOGA asked me for feedback on some of their workout gear. I really liked the tank and shorts I'm wearing in the photos above. In an XXS (regular sizing), the Tickle Me Tank is a good fit for me, and the straps and overall length are petite-friendly. The foldover detail in the front is pretty and comfortable, and the band at the bottom keeps the top from slipping pr riding up during inversions and planks. The Sweet N Short shorts were also a good, compressive fit for me in a 2, and the length was such that I didn't need to adjust them constantly, a concern I often have with shorter shorts. Unfortunately, YOGASMOGA doesn't offer petite lengths for leggings or long-sleeved tops, which makes those items too long for my shorter arms and legs. (Note: I've found this to be a common issue with workout gear, and I've had my tailor successfully shorten leggings that don't have too much detailing near the hem.) I'm excited to get a lot of wear out of these pieces.

The weather looks lovely in Denver this holiday weekend, and I'm planning to fit in some exercise and lots of R&R!

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

A Casual Workday with Maxwell Scott

Maxwell Scott Leather Bag

Maxwell Scott Rivara

What's in my Maxwell Scott bag

Casual workday look

Maxwell Scott Rivara Chestnut
Coat: J.Crew (last seen here) | Sweater: J.Crew | Denim: J Brand '620' | Shoes: Jimmy Choo | Bag: thanks to Maxwell Scott | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Necklace: Ann Taylor | Earrings: Kendra Scott

As a lawyer, I am always on the lookout for a bag that will both a) look stylish and b) easily tote the piles of papers, technology, and other essentials I have to schlep around every day. While some days this means I have to resort to my (not stylish) rolling brief box, on other days, a large work bag will suffice. Enter Maxwell Scott, a British leather goods company that specializes in gorgeous, classic bags that are both fashionable and functional. I've teamed up with them today to show you one of their pieces that fits seamlessly into my busy day.

I chose the chestnut-colored Rivara because its description, "large leather work bag," sounded like exactly what I needed. My bag is 16" x 11.8" x 4", perfect for fitting legal-sized files, a laptop, a large planner, and all my daily essentials, including an extra pair of flats for commuting. The leather on this bag is divine, and I loved that I could add a monogram to personalize it.

While I ultimately decided on a work bag, Maxwell Scott also has a lovely selection of travel bags as well, including some leather duffles that look perfect for a weekend getaway.

Hope you have a great week!

Hello, Framboise + Rocksbox (+ a Free Month of Sparkle)

Destroyed denim + layers

Casual layers + gold

Gorjana V necklace via Rocksbox

Rocksbox review
Cardigan: GAP | Tee: J.Crew Factory | Vest: ZARA Kids | Denim: J Brand (26" inseam = great no-alterations petite jeans!) | Boots: rag & bone | Bag: Valentino | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Watch: Michael Kors | Earrings: J.Crew | Tricolor Gold Bracelet: Vintage | "V" Necklace: Gorjana via Rocksbox | "X" Ring: Wanderlust + Co. via Rocksbox | Labradorite Bangle: Margaret Elizabeth via Rocksbox

Guys, I am really excited about today's post! I've teamed up with Rocksbox to share some details on their fun jewelry subscription service with you and to give you all a month of free jewels if you sign up within the next 30 days! In order to get the month free, just enter the code helloframboisexoxo in the promo box when you sign up, and pretty designer baubles will be on their way to your door shortly.

Here's how it works: you sign up and create an account, part of which includes taking a style survey to help the Rocksbox stylists learn more about your taste in jewels. Just FYI: as part of the sign-up, you enter payment info, but you are not obligated to buy anything at all unless you love it and want to keep what you receive! You also get a 20% discount off MSRP should you decide to keep any pieces.

Once your stylist has your info, you'll get a notice that your first Rocksbox has shipped with three pieces for you to borrow. I'm wearing all three of my pieces from my first box in the pic above: a Gorjana "V" necklace, Margaret Elizabeth bangle, and Wanderlust + Co. "X" ring (links are to sites where they are available to purchase, but you can borrow the same pieces from Rocksbox then buy at a discount!).

You can borrow the pieces for as long as you like, but whenever you're ready for new pieces, you just pack up the ones you have (unless you've decided to keep any of them) and return them using the label and padded envelope that comes included in your original package. As soon as they receive your return package, your stylist gets to work picking out a new set for you. I just did my first exchange, and I think it was about two hours between when I saw they got my return and when I got my new shipping notification and tracking info. Shipping time is quick (about 2 days) and by USPS, with no signatures required, so it's really easy to send and receive.

While you can definitely let your stylist do all the choosing, you can also request pieces through the wishlist on the Rocksbox site or through their Instagram (@rocksbox). You can then check back and see which wishes have been fulfilled and add to your list when new pieces are posted. So far, I've really enjoyed having shiny new jewels to mix in with my old standards--hope you guys have as much fun as I have trying it out!

Happy Valentine's Day!

x, Tam

Fall Outerwear with H&M

I've partnered with H&M this week to show you a couple pieces I love from their latest batch of fall outerwear arrivals! I loved picking out a cozy and chic look to style for colder weather, which I'm hoping will hit us here in Denver soon.

H&M Fall Outerwear

Cozy scarf

Fall accessories

H&M Fall Coat
Coat and scarf c/o H&M | Blouse: LOFT Outlet | Skirt: H&M | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: 3.1 phillip lim (my review here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bracelets: David Yurman | Watch: Michele

The coat I picked to style was from The Look by Elle for H&M. It's a sophisticated, un-fussy, minimalistic coat in an go-with-everything gray. I decided to style it with some neutral pieces for this look to keep the color scheme simple, adding a super-cozy blush-colored scarf.

I tried on a bunch of coats at my local H&M, and the one I chose ended up being the most petite-friendly. The shorter sleeves, narrow shoulders, and tailored fit worked on my frame, and while the length looks shorter styled on H&M's model, it was still a flattering length on me.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Fall Fashion with H&M + Hello, Framboise

I've partnered with H&M this week to show you some fall pics from their latest new arrivals! I loved picking out a fun fall look to style, especially during this transition season when you get to wear summer clothes one day and winter clothes the next (like in Denver last week!).

H&M Fall Denim

Fall Details with H&M

H&M Fall Fashion

H&M Fall Fashion in Sunglight
Sweatshirt, Denim Dress, Belt, Scarf c/o H&M | Shoes: Corso Como | Bag: Tory Burch "Robinson Shoulder Bag" | Sunglasses: Chloe | Bracelets: David Yurman, H&M c/o | Watch: Michael Kors

The denim department at my H&M has expanded quite a bit. I counted a minimum of 20 different styles and a variety of waist and inseam sizes to choose from. I love the distressed pieces, but unfortunately, there were none available in my size. Although they'll be pictured in a later post, I did pick up a perfectly-fitted pair of the slim black jeans (size 23/30) that I'm excited to wear this winter.

H&M never fails to deliver on accessories, and this year is no exception. There were so many pretty and cozy-looking scarves--I think I'll be headed back soon to stock up on snoods like the one I'm wearing here.

Now here is the fun part--H&M wants to outfit one of you lovely readers, too! The first reader today who reposts an Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook post with one of my photos from this post and tags the following:

For Instagram: @helloframboise, @hmusa, #HMFallFashion
For Facebook, @Hello Framboise, @H&M, use http://bit.ly/1rdLAet to link back to the post

. . . gets a $50 gift card* at H&M! Feel free to share your fall fashion looks, too! I love seeing them. Let's get to it--start reposting! I'll be watching via social media today, although it might be nice to put a link in the comments here to your tweet/post/IG to simplify it for me. Planning to announce the winner on the blog tomorrow!

UPDATE:Congratulations, Caitlyn S.! You are the winner of the $50 gift card. I will be reaching out to get your contact info!
UPDATE #2: I am terrible at reading my Twitter notifications and didn't realize that @TheRedCloak had posted first via Twitter. I am going to find a way to reward both of you--stay tuned!

Hello, Framboise in People StyleWatch August Issue

I was so excited this month to see Hello, Framboise featured in print! In the August Issue of People StyleWatch Magazine, I am sharing some of my favorite tips and tricks as to what to wear and where to shop when you're petite like me. The magazine is available all over the U.S., and the Play Up Your Shape story is on pages 126-127 if you happen to pick it up.

People Style Watch Spread Hello Framboise August 14 Issue

Details on the first outfit on the left can be found here. In the righthand photo, I'm wearing the ASOS Slim Brady Boyfriend Jeans with some stappy Zara heels--more details here--and the shirt-under-dress look is here.

It was great to be featured alongside the lovely Caitlyn, who gives some tips for the more statuesque among us, and with sweet Rochelle, who makes plus sizes so look pretty and put together. I love when women of all sizes find the pieces that work on them.

Introducing The Limited Petites

The Limited Petites Collection
Cardigan, Top, Skirt, Bag c/o The Limited Petite | Shoes: Stuart Weitzman | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bracelets: J.Crew, David Yurman | Watch: Michael Kors

I'm excited to introduce all of you to a new petites collection from The Limited. Debuting last month, The Limited is now offering a large selection of their work-friendly pieces in petite sizing. This was great news for me, as it means I have another option for stylish work attire. The petite collection mirrors the regular sizing line, but for now, it is only available online.

The Limited Petites Review

The line comes in sizes 0P-12P for dresses and suiting pieces (with some pieces available in 00P), and in XSP-XLP for blouses, tops, and other pieces. I found that the sizing is comparable to standard petite sizing, which meant that some of my pieces required alterations. In these photos, I have the skirt pinned back a couple inches and belted, and I'm planning to have it slimmed down the sides. The sweater top I'm wearing was a perfect fit in an XSP--not too long or wide. The cardigan in an XSP had a more casual, looser fit than I like for the office, but it should make for a comfortable weekend piece.

The Limited Petites Review

Note: at the moment, many of the pieces in the current collection are on sale or buy-one-get-one promotions as they are making room for new spring pieces (I recently took a sneak peek at the upcoming collection, and it looks great!).

You can also check out a few more pieces from the current line styled by Jean of Extra Petite, Kelly of Alterations Needed, and KT of KTRstyle.

Joie de Vivre -- a Lettering + Style Collaboration

hello framboise lettering calligraphy joie de vivre tee shirt

Joie de Vivre Tee // Lettering by Hello Framboise
Sweater: J.Crew | Tee: Peace Love & Tulle (lettering by yours truly!) | Jeans: J Brand | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bag: Jimmy Choo | Necklace: Ann Taylor | Bracelets: David Yurman | Watch: Michele

I'm so excited to share a bit of fashion + lettering love with you today. Recently, I teamed up with Kristina of Peace Love & Tulle to create a fun, unique tee that celebrated our "joy of life." It was so much fun to work with the lovely and talented Kristina and to turn my calligraphy into something wearable.

The "joie de vivre" lettering was first done with a dip pen and ink on paper, then digitized and screen-printed onto these soft, flattering shirts. The shirts are available in the Peace Love & Tulle online boutique if you want to snag one of your own (be aware that they do run a bit small--I'm wearing a size S here).
