It's back to the grind for me this week, sadly (although I was happy to leave the several feet of snow in the mountains!). Today I'm sharing an easy weekend look with a couple sparkly details thrown in for interest. Hope you're having a great week!

Fall Outerwear with H&M

I've partnered with H&M this week to show you a couple pieces I love from their latest batch of fall outerwear arrivals! I loved picking out a cozy and chic look to style for colder weather, which I'm hoping will hit us here in Denver soon.

Coat and scarf c/o H&M | Blouse: LOFT Outlet | Skirt: H&M | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: 3.1 phillip lim (my review here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bracelets: David Yurman | Watch: Michele

The coat I picked to style was from The Look by Elle for H&M. It's a sophisticated, un-fussy, minimalistic coat in an go-with-everything gray. I decided to style it with some neutral pieces for this look to keep the color scheme simple, adding a super-cozy blush-colored scarf.

I tried on a bunch of coats at my local H&M, and the one I chose ended up being the most petite-friendly. The shorter sleeves, narrow shoulders, and tailored fit worked on my frame, and while the length looks shorter styled on H&M's model, it was still a flattering length on me.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Fall Fashion with H&M + Hello, Framboise

I've partnered with H&M this week to show you some fall pics from their latest new arrivals! I loved picking out a fun fall look to style, especially during this transition season when you get to wear summer clothes one day and winter clothes the next (like in Denver last week!).

H&M Fall Denim

Sweatshirt, Denim Dress, Belt, Scarf c/o H&M | Shoes: Corso Como | Bag: Tory Burch "Robinson Shoulder Bag" | Sunglasses: Chloe | Bracelets: David Yurman, H&M c/o | Watch: Michael Kors

The denim department at my H&M has expanded quite a bit. I counted a minimum of 20 different styles and a variety of waist and inseam sizes to choose from. I love the distressed pieces, but unfortunately, there were none available in my size. Although they'll be pictured in a later post, I did pick up a perfectly-fitted pair of the slim black jeans (size 23/30) that I'm excited to wear this winter.

H&M never fails to deliver on accessories, and this year is no exception. There were so many pretty and cozy-looking scarves--I think I'll be headed back soon to stock up on snoods like the one I'm wearing here.

Now here is the fun part--H&M wants to outfit one of you lovely readers, too! The first reader today who reposts an Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook post with one of my photos from this post and tags the following:

Summer Gold

Givenchy Small Antigona

Yellow Jeans Outfit

Bright Colors for Summer
Tee: J.Crew Factory | Pants: H&M (5 more ways to wear them here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: kate spade new york | Bag: Givenchy 'Small Antigona' | Necklace: Ann Taylor | Bracelets: David Yurman, Ann Taylor, J.Crew, H&M | Lips: NARS 'Red Square'

Dinner at casual, foodie-friendly Acorn at The Source this weekend called for a dressed-up tee-and-jeans look with my favorite pants. Yellow is a great unexpected neutral, and I find myself reaching for these bright jeans time and time again, especially in the summer. The goldenrod color matched the sunset as Sean and I settled in for one of the best meals we've had in a while.

Hope you have a fantastic holiday weekend!

Paris in Bloom

Wandering in St. Germain
Top: H&M (last seen here) | Skirt: ASOS (last seen here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: Manolo Blahnik | Necklaces: Brian Gavin, Theresa Mink | Bracelets: David Yurman | Watch: Michele

In my last post, I mentioned that we really lucked out with the weather in Paris. I could not believe how warm and sunny it was on several of days we had there--definitely did not need the rain boots, turtlenecks, and heavy scarves I packed. Luckily, I was a typical nervous bride and kept checking the weather forecast multiple times daily before we left, so I threw some warmer-weather items in my suitcase, too. The skirt I'm wearing is one I picked up from ASOS last year and love for travel. It's super-comfortable, doesn't wrinkle, goes with almost everything, and takes up very little room in my suitcase.

Midi + Crop Top in Paris

We spent a lot of time the first couple days we were there looking for flowers. After reading a few blogs and talking with my photographer, I decided I would order my bouquet once I got to Paris. I checked out a bunch while we were wandering the city, including the ones at the big flower market on Île de la Cité. Parisians take their flowers seriously, and they definitely did not disappoint! Below is a rare photo of my now-husband (on one of the chillier days) checking out the selection at the market.

Ile de la Cité Flower Market

Not far from the flower market, we found this little cafe, Au Vieux Paris d'Arcole, which had its own set of charming florals--as this was the beginning of the growing season, they didn't have the full complement of flowers and vines they have in the summer, so they supplemented the lilacs with some faux chickens, lambs, and tropical birds.

Au Vieux Paris d'Arcole

Even on the grayer days, the city was just as charming. I love the typical architectural style of Paris, and it's so much more enchanting when streets wind around and buildings, sidewalks, and intersections aren't perfectly straight. (And yes, while it's delightful to wander, it can be maddening to be lost when you're trying to get somewhere--we found this app and this one, both usable offline, to be lifesavers when trying to navigate the Metro and the streets.)

Along the Seine

We ended up finding pretty blossoms even when we weren't looking for them--the two photos below were taken at a park in the St. Germain neighborhood, where there were piles of pink petals carpeting the walkways and more floating in the air whenever the breeze picked up.

Paris Blossoms

I'm wearing heels in these photos, but I definitely did not walk any great distances in them. If you ever run across me in person, you'll probably discover I almost always have a change of shoes in my bag, and I didn't deviate from that in Paris. I love the put-together look and extra height that heels give me, but I usually put off throwing them on until I arrive at my destination. For commuting and sight-seeing, I love my Matt Bernson flats, and I wore them consistently throughout our vacation (they're also on sale in select colors right now--for reference, I go half a size up from my usual).

Blowing Petals

Hope you enjoyed this set of photos--more to come soon!

Red Letter Day

ASOS Full Midi Skirt in Scuba

Red Midi + Blush Blouse + Jewel Belt

ASOS Midi Skirt Outfit

valentine's
Coat: H&M | Blouse: Ann Taylor (last seen here) | Skirt: ASOS (other colors available, too) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: Tory Burch (similar here) | Watch: Kate Spade

This weekend was a very exciting one (hence "Red Letter Day"). Boyfriend and I became officially engaged! I'm finally marrying the mysterious man behind the lens (he occasionally shows his handsome face on my Instagram). We're both very excited about the upcoming wedding.

The clothes I'm wearing here are what I wore out on Valentine's Evening to a lovely dinner at Potager, a local farm-to-table contemporary-style restaurant in Denver. It's nice to go somewhere where the menu changes constantly and every time, it seems to get better. I love how festive and fancy this ASOS Skirt felt--definitely a good purchase as I think it can be styled nicely for all four seasons.

Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day celebrating with your main squeeze, your family, or your friends!

Winter Blues

Black Turtleneck Holiday Outfit

Karen Walker Super Duper + J.Crew Necklace and Shoes
Turtleneck: H&M (similar here and here in petite sizing from Ann Taylor) | Skirt: UO (last seen here) (similar here and here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Tights: H&M c/o | Shoes: J.Crew | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Necklace: J.Crew Factory | Bracelets: Ann Taylor, H&M c/o | Watch: kate spade

Last week was a crazy-busy week for me at work. It always seems to all pile up around the holidays! I'm looking forward to taking a few days off around Christmas to ski.

Before I had off to the mountains, I'll be attending a few holiday parties here. The look in these photos is great for a not-too-formal, but still a little dressed-up kind of party. I like how the jewel tones (necklace, tights, and skirt) and little metallic bows on the shoes say "holiday" without actually breaking out the red and green.

50 States of Fashion with H&M: Part 3

Working with H&M on this 50 States of Style Promo has been so much fun, and I'm sad to announce that today is the very last day you can enter the contest to win either one of 5 $250 H&M Shopping Sprees or 1 grand prize trip to NYFW + $1000 shopping spree. To win, you just have to tag an Instagram photo with #HMShopOnlineCO (change those last two letters to your state's abbreviation if you're not in colorful Colorado). (Super easy!)

Up Next: I'm styling a third H&M-based outfit--this third look is perfect for the lazy end of summer at the beach (if you're interested, see my first look and second look, too):

Blazer: J.Crew | Blouse: H&M c/o | Jeans: 7FAM (mini-review here) | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Shoes: Charles by Charles David | Bag: Coach | Necklaces: Teresa Mink, F21 | Bracelets: H&M c/o, J.Crew, Ann Taylor | Watch: Michael Kors

50 States of Fashion with H&M: Part 2

Location: Cheesman Park, Denver
Top: H&M c/o | Skirt: H&M c/o | Sunglasses: Valentino | Shoes: Loeffler Randall | Bag: Reed Krakoff| Necklaces: Theresa Mink, Vintage | Bracelets: H&M c/o, J.Crew, David Yurman | Rings: H&M c/o, Vintage

Today I'm styling another look as part of H&M's 50 States of Fashion Contest (see my first look). I was immediately drawn to this fun red jersey skirt when I saw it online, and I loved it even more in person. It's comfortable and swingy, but there's enough structure to the material to make it look polished and unique.

Don't forget to enter the 50 States Contest before August 21 to win one of 5 $250 H&M gift cards or the grand prize of $1,000 to H&M and a trip to New York Fashion Week! Just tag an Instagram photo that showcases your personal style with #HMShopOnlineCO if you're in Colorado, or change the last two letters to your state's abbreviation if you're in another state.

50 States of Fashion: Online Shopping Launch with H&M

H&M Launches Online Shopping in the U.S. + A Great Contest to Celebrate!

I am very excited to announce that I've partnered with H&M to celebrate their launch of online shopping today in the U.S.! As a longtime fan of H&M, I was very happy to hear that they were introducing e-commerce to U.S. shoppers, and I was even more thrilled when I was asked to be Colorado's Blogger Ambassador for the 50 States of Fashion Contest they're running as part of the celebration--see the details below for how you can enter to win one of 5 $250 gift cards or a $1,000 online shopping spree plus a trip to New York Fashion Week!

H&M's fall collection is now online, and in the photos here, I've styled a couple of my favorite pieces that are currently available on the brand-new site. I like that these pieces would work for a less formal day at the office (with a more subdued jacket) but could transition seamlessly to an evening out.

Location: the Denver Center for the Performing Arts
Blouse: H&M c/o | Skirt: H&M c/o | Cardigan: Crewcuts (similar here) | Sunglasses: Valentino | Shoes: L.K. Bennett | Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim | Necklaces: Brian Gavin, Theresa Mink | Rings: Vintage
Bracelets: H&M c/o, David Yurman, Tiffany, J.Crew

More on the 50 States of Fashion Contest--entering to win is really easy! All you have to do is post an Instagram photo relating to the theme of personal style with the hashtag that corresponds to the state in which you are located. For my fellow Coloradans, our hashtag is #HMShopOnlineCO. If you are in New York, you'd hashtag #HMShopOnlineNY; for California, #HMShopOnlineCA; for Arizona, #HMShopOnlineAZ, and so on. The photo can be of you in your outfit of the day, of a favorite #throwback outfit, of your handbag collection, of your favorite accessories--whatever highlights your personal style!

Your photo will be featured on the 50 States of Fashion site in a gallery where people can like or vote on your look, and you can vote on your favorite looks from each state as well. The top 5 looks from each state will be the finalists for the prizes, so make sure you encourage friends and family to like/vote for your look, too! You can post as many photos as you'd like to increase your chances of winning. (See the official rules for the fine print.)

P.S. If you click on the "Ambassadors" tab, you can see yours truly as well as all of the other State Blogger-Ambassadors and check out their takes on H&M's online collection.
