Last week what a whirlwind kind of week--hope you didn't miss me too much here. I've been busy at work, but I've also been working on a few calligraphy projects lately. They have been time-consuming, but they are actually quite relaxing. I really like how rhythmic and meditative lettering is, plus sending out my final products to family and friends makes me so happy (from what I hear, it makes them happy too!).
I am thinking about blogging a little about hand-lettering and modern calligraphy. I have had lots of inquiries from you wonderful readers and Instagram followers asking where to begin and which supplies to purchase. The answers to these questions need much more than a quick email's worth of space (trust me). Please tell me which of the following four options you think would be best and would interest you the most.
I'd be so grateful if you guys would give me some feedback on this in the comments. I don't want to launch into something new without seeing if it will work for my readers. I am also re-opening anonymous commenting, so all of you who read but don't have a sign-in account can post to your hearts' content. Can't wait to hear what you think!

Calligraphy Content Survey
1) Integrate calligraphy posts in this blog, which will still be much more personal style than calligraphy, but there would be a little calligraphy and lettering thrown in.
2) Move calligraphy posts to a second blog dedicated only to lettering.
3) I'm not really interested in looking at or doing calligraphy, but I don't really care where you put it.
4) I'm not really interested in looking at or doing calligraphy, and I'd rather not see it on this page.

1. Absolutely.
ReplyDeleteI'm an instagram follower and love your calligraphy - to have it show up in my reader would be lovely. As long, of course, as it was as well as the style posts rather than instead of. As a very tiny lady (4ft 11"!) and a lover of classy style, I wouldn't want to miss out on those posts.
I agree and altough I´m from Bavaria in Germany I´m also a very tiny lady :)

It would definitely be in addition to outfit posts! As long as I can keep convincing people to take photos of me wearing clothes, I'll keep posting them :).
DeleteOption one would be my choice. Would love to see some calligraphy posts mixed in with your style posts!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a great idea! I have not seen any other bloggers done it so it'd be really informative and useful!
ReplyDeleteI think incorporating your lettering into this blog would be perfect! I'm one of your readers who is very interested in it! I look forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteCute fall look by the way!
Love the faux fur vest and the bright colored shirt!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your calligraphy on Instagram, although I don't really have plans to try it myself anytime soon. It wouldn't bother me if you put calligraphy posts on this blog, but I would probably just skip over them in my Bloglovin' feed and wait for the next outfit post :) Hope that helps!

I agree with number 1 :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #1 please. But only if it's on top of your regular style posts. I love your style posts so much that I wouldn't want to miss any of them. I did like the rare calligraphy you put on IG and wouldn't mind seeing more of it. Thanks!
ReplyDelete#1 ! :D
ReplyDeleteI vote for #1! Are you available to do any calligraphy work? I'm getting married next summer & love your calligraphy on Instagram.
ReplyDeleteGreat print blouse! Te he... my fur vest is from the kids' section at Target! Hooray for kid-sized fur vests on adult women!
